From October 28 to November 1, the event “Barbera il gusto del territorio” (Barbera, the taste of the territory) returns to Costigliole d’Asti: five days dedicated to the most important wine of the Monferrato, Barbera.
There will be a rich program of events for wine lovers, who can come to discover all the secrets of one of the most important Italian wines with tastings, workshops, and encounters. 200 Barbera wines from over 100 producers will be the center of the show.
Our labels, representative of the different faces of Barbera, will be available for tasting at the Cantina Comunale of Costigliole d’Asti. They will tell the story of the excellence of this territory’s wines and land in the production of a wine that is so rooted in tradition, yet remains in continuous evolution.
In addition to our labels Barbera d’Asti Ricordi and Barbera d’Asti Superiore Bricchetti, you will have the chance to taste Sorsi di Emozione, our new sparkling wine made from barbera.
We are pleased to take part in a unique and exciting event with our wines on Saturday, October 15 called Cooking Art Show©. The event was created for the promotion and valorization of the fine arts and food and of the producers and products of the territory. It is organized by friends of Piemonte Terra del Gusto.
The creative flair of cooking meets the traditional art of painting at the Ristorante Les Petites Madeleines inside the prestigious Turin Palace Hotel. In collaboration with Piemonte Terra del Gusto, guests in the restaurant will get to assist in the Cooking Art Show©. It will be an evening of tasting, in which cooking and the fine arts alternate and fuse to inspire and delight.
Chef Stefano Sforza will prepare a dish for the occasion that will take inspiration from a painting by artist Dorella Gigliotti. The creations of both artists will be made on the spot, before the eyes of guests and participants.
At an event with such a high emotional and sensorial impact, how could the right wine pairing possibly be missing— with wines like Ricordi, Suggestioni, Sorsi di Emozione?
• Pes-coj of autumn vegetables, cream of milk, and smoked almonds
• Fusillone Feliciti cooked in extract of mushrooms, toma cheese fondue, honey, and hazelnuts
• Prime beef of Fassone, red potatoes in Alpine butter, and braised Savoy cabbage

We are delighted to take part in this special day with our own wines. The event in London is one of the most important of the industry, and it gives us the wonderful opportunity to show and represent the wines of the Monferrato and an occasion to thank our partner Delitalia.
The Douja d’Or returns for its 50th edition on September 9-18. Wine lovers from all over Italy come to the city of Asti for the event, which coincides with celebratory days of the Sagre and Palio.
We’re excited to take part in this event with our Barbera d’Asti Ricordi DOCG 2014, awarded the Douja d’Or prize. It will be presented during the event from Sept. 9-18 at the Tasting Counter, together with 354 other DOC and DOCG wines who earned the award.
Ricordi is a Barbera d’Asti, made to express the most traditional characteristics of the barbera variety and of the Monferrato territory. We carefully select the best grapes by hand, and vinify in full respect of its aromas and nuances. The wine recalls the grapes and Barbera wines of our traditions and our Ricordi—memories—from the very first sip.
More information about the Douja and the program:
In Piedmontese dialect, “Douja” (pronounced dùia) is the antique terracotta jug once used to transport, store, and serve wine. The Piedmontese Carnival character named Gianduja actually gets his name from “Gian d’la Douja,” and he was known for drinking straight from the douja instead of using a wine glass. In Asti, “Douja d’Or” is synonymous with wine festival. The event, initiated in 1967 by the then-president of the Chamber of Commerce Giovanni Borello, grew year after year. Today, it’s one of the most prestigious market-fairs of Italian wine. In September, during the days between the second and third weekends of the month, hundreds of DOC and DOCG wines are presented and poured by ONAV experts for the national competition “Premio Douja d’Or.”
The fourth event by Go Wine dedicated to the thousand nuances of Moscato will take place Wednesday, July 27 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Dominio Mare Resort of Bergeggi, a stupendous location overlooking the rocky cliffs of Ponente Ligure. Producers will present sixty labels from all over Italy.
We built our dream of Sant’Anna dei Bricchetti upon moscato and barbera…how could we miss out on an event where moscato is the star of the show? We welcome you to stop by our tasting table, where we’ll tell you about the wine and let you taste our interpretations of this grape, and more.
During the festival, we will also present our new label: the sparkling wine Sorsi di Emozione, born from our love of our vineyards. It tells the story of a dream come true, a dream that contains all the intense, fruity aromas of barbera.
Cost of the evening: €18.00, reduced price €15.00 for Go Wine members. Includes the possibility to taste the entire selection of sweet and dry wines offered at the event, paired with sweet and savory dishes.
If interested, you may also reserve two additional plates of food (trofie al pesto with potatoes and green beans, and cuttlefish in zimino) for €6.00 each, prepared by the chefs of Dominio Mare.

You’re invited to the beautiful Riverfood, located along the Po River in Turin on Corso Moncalieri 506, Tuesday, July 5. Our wines will be the focus of the tasting “A dream come true: the wines of Sant’Anna dei Bricchetti with Lenti salumi,” in collaboration with MadaVin, a small business involved in wine sales and wine events.
As part of our dream to make our wines of the Monferrato, made of moscato and barbera, personal and unique, they will be accompanied with the cured meats by Lenti.
During the event, we will present the fresh, lively, bubbly side of barbera with our wine made with the “long” Charmat method, Sorsi di Emozione, and the fruity notes and romantic coral color of Zefiro, a rosé Barbera.
Following these wines will be a taste of our dry Moscato Suggestioni, an aromatic and elegant expression of the white grape of the Monferrato. Next will be a tasting of Barbera Ricordi, with its harmonious notes of purple fruit, and finally Moscato d’Asti DOCG with its aromatic and sweet effervescence to close the curtain on this special evening dedicated to dreams and gastronomy.
The aromas of a dream come true
Emozioni, our Brut sparkling wine, has evolved and renewed its name: now, taste emotions in the glass by drinking Sorsi di Emozione, “sips of emotion.”
The wine was created from the desire to express and exalt the qualities of the striking native grape barbera. Sorsi di Emozione has lovely, intense notes of red fruit and the freshness, pleasure, and vibrancy of an elegant sparkling wine.
It was made from carefully harvesting and selecting the grapes by hand and paying the utmost attention, patiently, during winemaking.
The must was obtained from softly pressing the grapes, followed by a short cold decantation. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at a low temperature (14 ° – 15 ° C) in stainless steel tanks that are temperature controlled to preserve the aromas. When the fermentation is concluded, the wine rests on its lees for about six weeks with weekly stirring of the lees. In the following spring, the wine is moved to an autoclave to form the effervescence using the Charmat method.
And finally, the search for the right name that expresses both the joy and the satisfaction experienced in sipping our wine and our link with tradition and territory.
Our first thought was Sorsi di Emozione, a reference to that slogan “just sip of emotion” with which we presented our wines to the UK market for the first time. It is a perfect label for a sparkling wine created from the love for our vineyards, a wine that tells the thrill of a dream come true.
On Tuesday, June 21, 2016, the fourth edition of the Moscato Wine Festival will be held in a truly special location at NH Hotel Collection Piazza Carlina in Turin’s central square, Piazza Carlo Emanuele Filiberto II.
The event, sponsored by Go Wine, is an occasion to promote and appreciate Italian sparkling wines, particularly Moscato in all its forms and styles.
At the tasting counter of Sant’Anna dei Bricchetti, discover and taste not only the sweet side of Moscato with our Moscato d’Asti DOCG, but also our unique, sought-after dry version with Moscato secco Suggestioni.
